Schubert House and Balmoral School Tour

The Schubert family has a long history in the North Okanagan. The family home, once owned by Augustus (Gus)
Jr., is now located at the O’Keefe Ranch grounds. Join Robyn for a tour the house and hear the amazing story of the
Overlanders of 1862 as Catherine and Augustus, along with Alexander Fortune, travelled across Canada in the hunt for gold. We will then walk a few steps to the Balmoral School.
Built in 1912 in Balmoral, near Salmon Arm, this one room. schoolhouse also finds itself at the Ranch for safekeeping. You will hear its history and how it came to be at the Ranch.

Historic O’Keefe Ranch Mansion and General Store Tour
Where: The O’Keefe Ranch, the Mansion

Cost: Free!
The O’Keefe Mansion, built in 1886, and was the grandest home in the North Okanagan at the time! Enjoy a personal tour with Robyn and learn about the history of the house and the O’Keefe family who built it. After touring this majestic home, you will then walk over to our General Store for a tour with Diane. Learn about its vital history in an isolated community and about the many goods available to the early settlers and local aboriginal people. Light refreshments will be provided.

Rose Pruning 101
Join us in the rose garden beside the Mansion at Historic O’Keefe Ranch for a hands-on Rose Pruning 101 session. This is a great chance to learn practical tips to keep your roses healthy and thriving.

Roger, lead volunteer of the team that prunes the rose garden at Hospice House, will guide participants through the basics of rose pruning.
Bring your own clean pruners if you’d like to practice on our roses.

Cowboy Christmas Dinner Show

The Cowboy Christmas Dinner Show is coming to Rustlers Table Restaurant at Historic O’Keefe Ranch on December 19th and 20th. Rob Dinwoodie and friends will take the stage to bring in Christmas “Cowboy Style” with a dinner and show that will make this Christmas season special.
The show will include a mix of traditional and original Christmas tunes with a good mix of humour, stories, and cowboy poetry. A favorite at the ranch, Rob and the band bring a fun-filled and memorable show every time they perform.
Before dinner and the show, horse-drawn sleigh rides will be available with the purchase of an upgraded dinner show ticket, to help you work up a cowboy-sized appetite for ribs, potatoes, and all the trimmings at our buffet dinner.
Note: Rustlers Table restaurant will be closed Dec.19th - 20th for the Cowboy Dinner Show.

There are only two shows this season, so make sure you don’t miss out! They are happening on December 19th and 20th from 6:00- 9:00 pm.

Sleigh rides are weather-dependent. If snow levels are low, a wagon ride may be substituted. Warm clothes are recommended.

Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides
Gather your friends and family this holiday season at Historic O’Keefe Ranch for our enchanting horse-drawn sleigh rides. Anton Enzing will guide his team as we breathe the open air, see the stars, and enjoy the Christmas lights on the Ranch under the cool night sky. Boo-Keefe Ranch Haunted House
The Haunted House at O’Keefe Ranch
Looking for some spooky family fun this fall? Our family-friendly Haunted House is open Saturdays and Sundays from October 4th-November 2nd. 10:00am-4:00pm
It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season—a little bit spooky, a whole lot of fun! Kids, parents, and even grandparents will love wandering the haunted corners of the Ranch.
Admission to the Ranch is by donation-every visit helps us keep history alive at O’Keefe Ranch.

Christmas Carol: A Walk with Scrooge
Experience an immersive retelling of the classic tale, A Christmas Carol, at O’Keefe Ranch. It is a walk-through, live theatre experience where you, the audience, will physically journey with Scrooge, witnessing his transformation unfold on a fateful Christmas Eve. This visually stunning production immerses the audience in Scrooge’s emotional quest from miser to a man reborn with the spirit of Christmas.
November Community Market/ Yard sale
Come visit Historic O’keefe Ranch for our first ever Community Market and Yard Sale! We will be having artisan vendors on site, a yard sale of our own items, and all of our historic buildings will be open for the public to enjoy. Feel free to stop by our new restaurant Rustlers Table for a delicious meal! All proceeds from the yard sale will be going towards keeping our wonderful historic site open for our many guests to enjoy!
Thanks Giving Buffet Fundraiser
This Sunday, come on down to Rustlers Table where we will be hosting our first ever Grazing for Good fundraiser! Enjoy a lovely brunch buffet or come in the afternoon to enjoy a Thanksgiving buffet meal with Turkey (but not our Turkey!), salmon, mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, corn muffins, pumpkin pie and of course a lovely desert! 15% off all food revenue on Sunday will be going directly to help feed our animals!

Admission to the Ranch is by donation. Once on the grounds, admission to the haunted house is $5 per child. Free for children 5 and under and any accompanying adults. Admission gives you unlimited access for the full day.

Every October, the northern Okanagan Valley hosts a spine-chilling horror festival that draws tens of thousands of attendees.
